About the Opportunity
Our client is a globally recognized organization serving the Shipping industry through advanced engineered solutions that support commercial shipping operations worldwide.
They are seeking an experienced executive to lead one of its international business portfolios. This role combines commercial leadership, strategic business management, product stewardship, and executive customer engagement within a highly technical, globally connected environment.
The executive will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth, strengthening strategic customer partnerships, guiding long-term business strategy, and shaping the future direction of a global business portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the overall commercial and business performance of a global business portfolio with full P&L accountability.
Develop and execute long-term business strategies that support profitable growth across international markets.
Build and maintain executive-level relationships with major global shipping companies, vessel operators, OEMs, shipbuilders, and strategic industry partners.
Represent the business in high-value commercial negotiations and strategic customer engagements across global markets.
Partner closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and product management teams to align commercial priorities with market requirements.
Guide long-term product and solution strategies, ensuring competitiveness throughout the product lifecycle.
Identify adjacent growth opportunities through new markets, service offerings, digital capabilities, and customer-focused innovation.
Foster collaboration across geographically dispersed teams, creating alignment across commercial, technical, and operational functions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and sustainable profitability.
Candidate Profile
An accomplished global business leader with experience managing complex engineered products or industrial technology businesses serving international customers.
They will possess the commercial credibility, technical curiosity, and executive presence required to build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders while leading cross-functional global teams.
Experience
Executive leadership experience within the shipping industry or other engineered industrial sectors.
Demonstrated responsibility for global or regional P&L leadership.
Proven success managing strategic international customer relationships.
Experience working across European markets and building commercial relationships with customers and partners in the region would be highly preferred
Experience working within matrix organizations across multiple geographies.
Strong understanding of technical products and solution-based selling.
Experience partnering closely with engineering and operations functions.
Exposure to long sales cycles and complex commercial negotiations.
Track record of leading multicultural teams across international markets.
Travel
This position requires significant international travel to engage customers, support regional teams, and represent the business across key global maritime markets.
