Fractional Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Role Brief:
Our client, a rapidly expanding global platform operating across healthcare and medical technology sectors, is seeking a Fractional Chief Information Officer (CIO) to support the organization’s next phase of strategic growth.
The group currently operates through multiple business entities across India and international markets, with each unit evolving its own operational and technology environment. As the organization continues to grow through expansion and acquisitions, the leadership team is looking to bring greater alignment, governance, and visibility across systems, processes, and data.
The CIO will play a critical role in assessing the current technology landscape across the group and establishing a structured roadmap to progressively integrate and strengthen the organization’s enterprise systems and IT governance framework.
Beyond technology architecture, this role will focus on building the foundational controls, risk frameworks, and operational discipline required for a scalable and globally aligned organization, while supporting leadership in preparing the business for its long-term growth ambitions.
The ideal candidate will bring experience working in complex, multi-entity business environments, with the ability to introduce practical system improvements, enterprise controls, and governance structures that enhance operational reliability and transparency.
Key Focus Areas
Enterprise IT Landscape Assessment
Evaluate existing systems, platforms, and processes across multiple business units and geographies to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for alignment.Systems Alignment & Architecture Roadmap
Develop a pragmatic roadmap to progressively align technology platforms, data structures, and operational systems across the organization.IT Governance & Risk Management
Establish robust enterprise-level controls including access governance, maker–checker processes, audit readiness, and technology risk monitoring.Operational Stability & Security
Strengthen system reliability, cybersecurity practices, and oversight mechanisms to reduce operational vulnerabilities and ensure business continuity.Pre-IPO Systems & Governance Readiness
Guide the organization in strengthening the technology and governance frameworks typically required as businesses scale toward public market readiness.Leadership Advisory
Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to provide clear visibility on technology risks, system priorities, and investment decisions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven experience as a CIO, Group CIO, or senior technology leader in multi-entity or diversified business environments.
Track record of building or aligning enterprise systems in growing organizations, particularly those transitioning toward greater scale or institutional governance.
Strong expertise in IT governance, enterprise controls, risk management, and audit readiness.
Experience supporting organizations through significant scaling phases or public market preparation is highly valuable.
Deep operating experience in India, with exposure to Asia-Pacific markets considered an advantage.
A hands-on, pragmatic leader comfortable working both strategically and operationally to implement improvements.
