Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic, visionary CEO. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the intersection of agriculture, health, and sustainability. They should have the grit and determination to drive innovation and growth while embracing a startup mindset. The CEO should have deep experience in food innovation to catapult the company’s efforts from a food sciences standpoint.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy aligned with mission of bridging climate-resilient agricultural practices and preventative healthcare through food.
- Drive the long-term vision and establish a clear roadmap for achieving sustainable growth and market leadership.
Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring that all departments work cohesively to meet business objectives.
- Drive operational excellence by optimizing production processes, maintaining product quality, and achieving financial goals.
Innovation & Product Development:
- Champion innovation in millet-based nutrition, fortification techniques, and sustainable food processing technologies.
- Lead efforts in food sciences to develop and launch innovative products that set new benchmarks in the industry.
Partnerships & Market Expansion:
- Build strategic partnerships with regenerative farming cooperatives, healthcare institutions, and key industry stakeholders.
- Identify and penetrate new markets to expand our footprint in both domestic and international markets.
Financial Management:
- Establish financial goals and ensure sound financial planning and risk management to maintain healthy cash flows and profitability.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising on quality or sustainability.
Team Leadership & Culture Building:
- Cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning across all levels of the organization
- Mentor and develop the leadership team, fostering an environment that encourages innovative thinking and agility.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Maintain transparent communication with the board, investors, and stakeholders regarding the company’s performance and strategic priorities.
- Act as a spokesperson and advocate for the company’s mission at industry events, conferences, and public forums.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the F&B or AgriTech industry. Experience in startups or scaling businesses is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of sustainable agriculture practices, food fortification, and preventative healthcare principles.
- Deep experience in food innovation, with a track record of driving breakthroughs in product development and food sciences.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional financial acumen and experience in P&L management.
- Passion for health, nutrition, and sustainability, with a willingness to embrace a mission-driven approach.
