Summary:
The Managing Director - Executive Engagement, Operations, and Assessments is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing executive engagement, operations, and assessment functions at Board Match-Up. This position plays a pivotal role in developing and nurturing relationships with executives, ensuring smooth operational processes, and conducting assessments to facilitate successful placements.
The Managing Director will collaborate closely with the Managing Directors of Board Engagement and Operations teams to deliver exceptional client service and achieve organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
1. Executive Engagement:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to engage and build relationships with executives, including CEOs, CXOs, and board members.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for executive clients, providing exceptional service and acting as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement process.
- Conduct initial assessments of executive candidates, evaluating their suitability for board and executive roles.
- Collaborate with the Board Engagement team to identify potential executive clients and facilitate introductions.
- Build and maintain a strong network of executive contacts to expand the company's reach and enhance client acquisition efforts.
2. Operations Management:
- Oversee the operational functions of Board Match-Up, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and adherence to best practices.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to support the organization's objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including the Board Engagement and Recruitment teams, to streamline processes and ensure seamless execution of mandates.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in operational practices, proactively recommending and implementing changes to drive continuous improvement.
3. Assessments:
- Lead and oversee the assessment process for executive candidates, utilizing a range of evaluation tools and methodologies.
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate executives' skills, experience, leadership capabilities, and cultural fit with client organizations.
- Collaborate with the Recruitment team and Talent Directors to gather comprehensive information on candidates and provide feedback and recommendations to clients.
- Ensure assessments are conducted with the utmost professionalism, integrity, and adherence to industry standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Extensive experience in executive search, talent assessment, or related roles, preferably within the board and executive recruitment industry.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with executives and board members.
- Strong understanding of board dynamics, corporate governance, and executive recruitment processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with senior-level executives.
- Solid knowledge of operational management principles and best practices.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience in managing teams and driving organizational success.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and recommendations.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
